What the €1 Holiday Includes

The €1 holiday package covers accommodation, meals, and guided tours for a two-night stay. However, participants are responsible for their travel to Siculiana, located on Sicily’s west coast. Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with a drink at their hotel and can look forward to another drink by the marina at the end of their stay. The itinerary includes guided excursions to local attractions such as the Siculiana Marina and the Torres Salsa Nature Reserve, known for its stunning beaches and dramatic cliffs.

How to Apply for the €1 Getaway

To be considered for this unique opportunity, interested travelers must submit a creative video explaining why they want to visit Siculiana. The Siculiana Tourism Board suggests themes like “we deserve a holiday,” “we love Sicily,” or “we want to eat Sicilian food.” Applicants must be over 18 and apply in pairs, detailing their relationship, ages, city of residence, and contact information in the video. The board will evaluate submissions based on originality, creativity, and enthusiasm for discovering Siculiana.

Selection and Participation Details

The Tourism Board will select 10 pairs of winners, who will be announced on March 20. The first holiday is scheduled for April 4-6. During their stay, participants are required to document their experiences in a video diary, highlighting their daily adventures and sharing them with the Tourism Board. Applications must be submitted by March 15 to be considered for this extraordinary travel experience.
