Celebrity Cruises is breaking new ground by inviting travelers to help design their upcoming billion-dollar ship, Celebrity Xcel. This initiative, known as Xcel ‘Dream Makers,’ allows participants to influence key aspects of the ship’s design, including culinary choices, entertainment options, and interior aesthetics. A New Era in Cruise Ship Design

The cruise line is offering a unique opportunity for travelers to become part of the design process through the Xcel ‘Dream Makers’ initiative. This global community will have the chance to test, try, and vote on new experiences via online polls and exclusive in-person events.

Participants in the Xcel ‘Dream Makers’ program will have a say in selecting textiles, managing interior design elements, and curating service offerings. They will also be involved in choosing their favorite dishes and beverages, shaping dining concepts, and providing input on headline shows. This includes curating props and costumes, selecting playlists, and participating in the selection of pivotal entertainment positions onboard.

Sailing into the Future

The Celebrity Xcel is set to launch in November 2025 as the fifth ship in the award-winning Edge Series. It will begin its inaugural season from Fort Lauderdale, offering seven-night itineraries to destinations such as the Bahamas, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten. In 2026, the ship will embark on its first European season, with journeys ranging from seven to 11 nights out of Barcelona and Athens, including overnight stays in Madeira, Portugal.
